Minister's Monthly Column
by Rev. Dr. Paulette Hogan
"This is the Day the Lord hath made. Let us rejoice in it and be
glad." (Psalm 118:24)
I have called upon this scripture many times already this year. As
challenges and joys have filled my days. Knowing and understanding God is
ever present within me and every part of my world, gives me the extra
ingredient needed for my recipe, for a fulfilled day on my journey of life.
I believe this powerful ingredient is "Faith," which enables us to
recognize the divine guidance available to overcome challenges and create
our joys.
We here at Unity of Anchorage are growing in number and soon we will
increase the energy to encompass many more. "Faith" has built this ministry
and Our "Faith" will continue the journey. Everything is working according
to God's will for us. With "Faith" and the correct blending of affirmative
thoughts, positive feelings, heart giving, and calm actions, we will
continue to move forward and our "Light" will continue to flow through out
the community and the world.
Times with God are very special, they are peaceful moments, loving
moments, the moments in which we feel God's presence enfolding and uplifting
us. It is in these moments we do something so powerful, yet quite simple, We
stop. We stop moving, stop thinking, stop worrying, and just experience God.
This is a wonderful way to begin and end your day. To handle stress and
worry.
Just take a deep breath, relax, just for a minute. This quiet time
of stopping from your routine to take a God Break, a peace break, is a
blessing. Yes! as you take this time each day just to stop and be with God,
My friends. You will find the journey of your life to be less challenged and
more joyful and fulfilling. You will be saying Thank You more often.
It is with abounding joy, as the Minister of Unity of Anchorage, I
invite all to come and join us each Sunday as we worship and share the God
Energy filling our Church.
Doubt sees the obstacles,
Faith sees the way;
Doubt sees the darkest night,
Faith sees the day;
Doubt dreads to take a step,
Faith soars on high;
Doubt questions, "Who believes."
Faith answers "I"
