Summer Greetings!
Yes! It is summer already, It is time to experience those vacations to places we have never been or back to places we found joyful and fulfilling. Or maybe just a peaceful time at home with family. Whatever you choose, I hope it is one of the things you have on your list "THINGS TO DO IN MY LIFE." If you do not have a list, start one.
On that list should be many more things than just places to visit. Maybe it contains the classes you plan to take, the next book to read, the advances you want to make on your Spiritual Journey, the time you want to spend in the peace and calm of your inner self. . .I could go on and on.
When you do began to spend time in that place deep inside you, all the reassurance you need for accomplishing your desires becomes available to you. God's indwelling presence is awaiting your recognition and beckoning your entrance into the infinite love and guidance. It is here in the stillness disharmony ceases. Peace begins. When we find this inner place, we find power. It is here we visualize our desires, and find the strength to manifest them as our reality.
An example comes as fruition of a desire off my on list. In 1985 I moved to Anchorage, Alaska. This event is a story in it's self and too long for this column. That being said. I attended Unity Church of Anchorage, studied under the guidance of the minister, was married in the church and fell in love with Alaska. I at once added returning to Alaska to my list. Then after I was ordained I added "Be a Guest Speaker at Unity of Anchorage." I have returned to Alaska now with the ultimate desire fulfilled: I am the Minister of Unity of Anchorage.
There are many other amazing events I have been able to check off my list. Each time I do so I find myself expressing gratitude to the indwelling presence of God. The presence from which I am given my many blessings.
Jesus said "The Kingdom of God is in the midst of you", (Lk. 17:21). Looking outside of ourselves is looking in vain. We find our peace, wisdom and guidance only within, in the centermost part of our own inner selves. It is up to us to train our minds to be open and receptive to God's presence. Never let your mind get in a rut (pattern). Keep your mind open and receptive to your inner presence, you will be freed from the anxiety of any situation. Whatever you need or desire to do you will understand what is required of you, and you will follow through with ease and perfect timing.
Times change, your circumstances and conditions change, you change. It is your responsibility to expand and grow, and always be receptive to the great source of knowledge within you.
The world is full of people, young and not so young, who are finding their way to enjoy the good things in life by relying on their inner resources to guide them. Whether they realize it or not they are relying on the presence of God.
We at Unity of Anchorage invite you to join us each Sunday, become a part of the energy of Love that is God, to expand and grow. Remember make your list. With God all things are possible.
